Four year schools- You should be notified of acceptance before months end. Make sure when you are accepted that you make an appointment with school financial aid center. Do not wait, push for all that you can get.

Two-year schools- Begin making contact with the financial aid center to be acquainted in what the school has to offer. You would better your chances in getting classes in the fall by taking courses in summer.

The four year college system will be cutting back the entering freshman class from 38% to just 18% because of cutbacks.  Because of the influx of students who will now have to attend junior college, many students may not get a full schedule which could make an additional semester or two to earn an associates degree. Today it is taking two plus years to get a degree. We do have an alternative for associates’ program. Community ChristianCollege offers an associates program for those wanting:

  1. A Christian Education
  2. Transfer to Four year ChristianColleges or Universities

We have placed the web-site for you to get more information. We will also have a representative coming in to speak with the class. Christian Community will have you prepared with an associate degree in two-years with full time commitment.

Juniors: You must take your SAT-ACT college testing by the spring to have available to send to colleges. Begin narrowing your college search and begin the process of visiting or taking summer courses to better your chances for entrance.

Continue to work on grades and take the courses that prepare you for college. Have your parents get information on financial planning for college. Go to http://www.collegeboard.com/ to get information on attending and financing college.
